In 2025, Pride Edmonton proudly showcased over 75 Pride-related events between late May and late August, lighting up more than 40 venues across the city and brought to life by 40+ passionate organizers. Together, these celebrations filled Edmonton with colour, creativity, and community—welcoming visitors from near and far and generating strong support for local hotels, restaurants, bars, and cultural spaces throughout the summer.
Looking ahead to 2026, Pride Edmonton is gearing up for its biggest Summer of Pride yet, with an expected 100+ events planned across the Greater Edmonton Region. From iconic festivals to intimate community gatherings, Pride Edmonton is your go-to guide for planning an unforgettable Pride experience—whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or staying to soak up the full season.
Summer of Pride kicks off Edmonton’s annual Festival Season in late May and carries the celebration through late August, transforming the city into a vibrant, welcoming playground all summer long. Visitors can celebrate Pride Month in June, enjoy a packed calendar of outdoor festivals, nightlife, arts, culture, and community events, and join the excitement of Pride Day at K-Days in July, along with many other community celebrations throughout July and August.
One of the signature highlights of the season is the Edmonton Pride Festival, taking place August 21–23, 2026. This multi-day festival brings together live entertainment, community programming, local vendors, food and beverage experiences, and all-ages celebrations—creating a lively focal point for visitors planning a late-summer Pride trip to Edmonton.
The weekend culminates with the Edmonton Pride Parade, returning for its second year after a seven-year hiatus, and stepping off in the afternoon of August 22, 2026. Drawing tens of thousands of spectators, the parade fills the city streets with colour, music, and Pride, and stands as one of Edmonton’s most photographed and anticipated summer events.
Fan-favourite events are also set to return in 2026, including the Edmonton Drag Festival on Churchill Square in late May, the Mayor’s Pride Brunch, the Edmonton Riverhawks’ “Drag Me Out to the Ball Game” and After Party, and the Gay Edmonton Pageant, presented by the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Wild Rose.
Together, these signature moments showcase Edmonton as a joyful, inclusive destination—one where Pride not only brings people together, but also fuels the city’s summer energy and tourism economy.
In 2026, Pride Edmonton, in partnership with Explore Edmonton, is proud to position Pride as more than a moment in time—offering visitors a year-round invitation to experience Edmonton’s vibrant, inclusive spirit.
