Why Share Your Event on the Pride Edmonton Calendar?

Our calendar is the central hub for the queer community and allies in Edmonton. By listing your event with us, you gain:

  • Targeted Visibility: Reach a dedicated audience of locals and visitors specifically looking for inclusive, Pride-focused spaces.
  • Free Promotion: We publish your event on our official listings page at no cost to you.
  • Extended Reach: Select listings may be shared across our social media platforms and with our media partners to help boost your attendance.
  • Community Unity: Adding your event to the collective calendar helps showcase the incredible diversity and vibrancy of Edmonton’s 2SLGBTQ+ scene.

No Deadlines for Submissions

Unlike traditional printed guides, the Pride Edmonton Calendar is a living resource. There are no deadlines for submissions. We accept event listings year-round, ensuring that even last-minute celebrations get the visibility they deserve.

Note: While we host the primary Pride calendar, event planners are encouraged to also submit their events separately to Explore Edmonton to maximize reach to the broader tourism market. Detailed information and links on how to submit to Explore Edmonton will be provided on the confirmation page immediately after you submit your event to us.

What is a Pride Event?

To ensure our calendar remains a safe and relevant space for the community, we have established guidelines for what qualifies as a “Pride Event.” Generally, events should align with the message of visibility, inclusion, and celebration of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Why Pride Matters in Alberta in 2026

Pride celebrations in Alberta continue to be both a celebration and a vital statement of visibility. In 2026, Pride is not only about celebration—it is about presence, resilience, and unity.

Against a backdrop of evolving provincial conversations regarding 2SLGBTQ+ rights, your events provide essential affirming spaces for youth, seniors, and the entire community. They send a clear message that Edmonton is a city that values diversity and human rights. Your events—large and small—help tell that story.

Tips for Creating Your Event Graphic

To ensure your event looks its best on our calendar and social media, we recommend the following sizes:

  • Facebook Event Headers: 1920 x 1005 pixels (Landscape). Avoid putting text in the top or bottom 50 pixels.
  • Instagram & Facebook Feed Ads: 1080 x 1350 pixels (4:5 ratio)
  • Instagram/Facebook Stories & Reels: 1080 x 1920 pixels (9:16 aspect ratio)
  • Square Graphics: 1080 x 1080 pixels (Works across most platforms, but may be cropped on Facebook Event pages).

Tips for Best Performance

  • Minimums: For Facebook ads, keep images at least 1200 pixels wide for the best quality.
  • Use Vertical/Square for Mobile: Vertical (4:5 or 9:16) formats fill more screen space on mobile devices.
  • Avoid Over-cropping: Ensure all key event details (date, time, venue) are centered to avoid being cut off on different devices.
  • High Quality Matters: Use the recommended dimensions to avoid blurriness or compression.
