Community PRIDE Day & Free BBQ with DYS & ELEN followed by Back to The Home Fire Drag Show

This is ELEN’s 7th Annual family Pride party and another partnership with the great folks at DYS. Our free, youth-friendly celebration will take place both indoors and outdoors. We will be welcoming diverse vendors, local organizations and community leaders in a space safe for the whole family. We’ll have lots of arts & crafts, interactive zones, a PRIDE photo op wall, by donation barbeque, silent auction and much more.

We will have a barbeque meal, drinks and snacks available by donation. Supplies to help with this are accepted, as are sponsors. We will be trying to address dietary restriction and special requirements so please let us know in advance if this is a concern.

The Unitarian Church of Edmonton is fully accessible and has gender neutral washrooms. Menstrual and Hygiene items will be available for free on-site. We will have a quiet room available and a designated sensory zone. Free parking on-site and in adjacent areas. While designated as a ‘church’, it is important to note the UCE is a progressive and inclusive space dedicated to learning, spiritual exploration and social justice. UCE proudly and loudly supports queer and Trans causes and rights. We have the full use of their entire facility for this event.

Alcohol will be available for purchase with valid ID.
Silent auction and fundraiser event for Native Counselling Services of Alberta, with proceeeds going to the tâpwêhtamowin wãskahikan housing program.

“The Unitarian Church of Edmonton is a sponsor of Dragging Youth Shows. Dragging Youth has monthly Shows at UCE. UCE has no stairs going into the building or to public areas. There is a button operated door at the front. A lovely ramp for performers to get on stage. Plus accessible, gender neutral washrooms. Chairs in the Sanctuary are easily moved to accommodate various needs. UCE also has a quiet room where shows can be viewed with decreased stimulus. Plus there is a free app which sound can be played through your device for those hard of hearing.” http://www.uce.ca
