PRIDE WEEK CELEBRATES THE UNIVERSITY OF ALBERTA’S 2SLGBTQ+ COMMUNITY.
We welcome to our events all 2SLGBTQ+ individuals, communities, and allies that are part of the University of Alberta to attend. Your identity is valid regardless of whether you are out or not.
Our Pride Week community recognizes and embraces the origins of Pride as a political struggle for the rights, safety, and acceptance of 2SLGBTQ+ people, many of whom live at the intersections of multiple forms of marginalization by not only gender and sexuality, but also race, class, disability, neurological experiences, citizenship, age, religion, place of origin, and more. University of Alberta Pride Week is an opportunity to reflect on our campus and ourselves.
