Building on the strong tradition of Pride celebrations in recent years\, this year’s Pride Month will feature an exciting lineup of activities from June through the summer\, all proudly showcased on the Pride Edmonton Events Calendar. \n\n\n\nThroughout Pride Month\, Edmonton’s streets\, parks\, galleries\, and venues host dozens of events that offer something for everyone. From drag performances\, live music\, art exhibitions\, educational talks\, and family-friendly gatherings\, to vibrant socials and community meet-ups\, there truly is a celebration around every corner. In 2025\, organizers and community partners listed more than 70 Pride Month events spanning June alone\, including Pride flag raisings\, drag festivals\, film screenings\, markets\, youth parties\, and cultural showcases — all aiming to uplift 2SLGBTQIA+ voices and foster connection. \n\n\n\nPride Month also leads into Edmonton’s signature Pride Festival events later in the summer. Highlights include the Edmonton Pride Parade\, returning to the downtown streets after a multi-year hiatus and bringing thousands of marchers and supporters together in celebration and advocacy. The parade is followed by Edmonton PrideFest at FanPark in the ICE District\, where everyone can enjoy performances\, artisan markets\, good food\, and lively community atmosphere. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re looking to learn more about local queer history\, dance under the rainbow lights\, or simply share in joy with friends and neighbours\, Edmonton’s Pride Month has events that celebrate every facet of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. DESCRIPTION:Spill the T. – Readings from the 2SLGBTQIA+ Human Library is a partnership between Robertson-Wesley United Church and Kirk Centre\, bringing lived experience to the forefront of education on diverse and important topics within the local queer scene. \n\n\n\nOn Friday June 12\, we open the fourth book in the series – on Workplace Inclusion. NDP MLAs Janis Irwin and Brooks Arcand-Paul will explore the topic from their unique positions of employment. Drawing on personal stories and experiences\, their sharing will help the audience understand the importance of the inclusion of 2SLGBTQIA+ and other marginalized identities in the workplace\, and how best to advocate for such. Bring your curiosity and questions to ask\, and stick around after the formal presentations to engage in meaningful small group table conversation and community connection over refreshments. \n\n\n\n>ASL interpretation has been secured for this event!! In an effort to make these gatherings as accessible as possible\, RWUC is also mobility friendly and neurodiversity sensitive. Reach out to the organizers if you need other accommodations. \n\n\n\nWhy a human library? A Human Library is an interactive experience where people become the “books\,” sharing their lived experiences\, knowledge\, and personal stories through open conversation. Instead of learning from a presentation\, article\, or panel alone\, participants have the opportunity to sit face-to-face with someone and engage in meaningful dialogue in a relaxed\, welcoming environment. \n\n\n\nHuman Libraries are designed to encourage connection\, curiosity\, empathy\, and understanding. They create space for people to ask questions\, hear different perspectives\, and learn directly from real-life experiences in a way that feels personal and authentic.
