DESCRIPTION:Learn about the vibrant growth and diversity of Edmonton’s queer nightlife\, which started with Club 70\, Boots n Saddles\, the Roost and Flashback and grew over time to include many memorable places like Prism\, Secrets\, ShakeSpear’s\, the Option Room\, Buddys/Woodys and Evolution\, and many other spaces and places in between. \n\n\n\nThis tour will be hosted by Evolution’s Co-Owner Rob Browatzke and special guest! \n\n\n\nWe are pleased to be able to provide ASL interpretation for this walking tour. DESCRIPTION:Edmonton Pride Float is back for its second year\, happening on August 12th 2023!  \n\n\n\nThis event is a rainbow river float for the LGBTQ2S* community and their friends.  \n\n\n\nBring your fun inflatable\, decorate a kayak or canoe\, and experience a float like no other down the North Saskatchewan River through Edmonton!  \n\n\n\nEntertainment includes local drag queens\, music\, and mermaids who will join us on our journey down the river.  \n\n\n\nThe river float starts at 12PM and is roughly 2.5-hours starting at Terwillegar Park and ending at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park. After the float\, feel free to hang around and continue the party with us! \n\n\n\nReview our waiver in advance of the event \n\n\n\nWe’ll have DJ\, drag performances\, food and games for all. Learn more about Times .10 Magazine and GATE and GLCCE as we pass two former locations.  \n\n\n\nVisit old and new bathhouses such as Down Under and Steamworks. Our tour will end with stories of more businesses and bars from days gone by including Buddys\, Woodys\, Mamas Gin Joint\, and yes even the first location of Flashback!
