Downtown Edmonton Community League
Welcome to DECL – The Downtown Edmonton Community League. Our Board and committees are comprised of volunteers who live or work in the Downtown area. They represent Downtown residents in matters of parks, politics and other issues as well as planning and arranging community activities in the Downtown core.
Downtown Edmonton is a great place to “live, learn, work and play” and residency is expanding at an unprecedented rate with ever increasing redevelopment. We hope that you will support our sponsors, join the community league and have a say in Downtown community issues that affect you.
We look for ways to make Downtown living better and help foster community, whether it is through programming, events, promotions, partnerships, and our advocacy work on various committees and Downtown initiatives.
- We organize many annual events including our Spring Clean-Up in May, CornFest in September, Holiday Mixer in December, as well as regular meetings, programming and events throughout the year for members.
- Our Development Committee meets the last Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. (as needed, subject to change) to discuss Downtown development and civic issues. Feel free to email us with questions and meeting details.
- Would you like to garden? Contact our Garden Coordinator to get on the waitlist for Alex Decoteau Park Community Garden.
- We were proud to be a venue partner again this year for Winterruption YEG Winter Music Festival January 26-29, 2023.
