A Year-Round Rainbow:
In 2022 Edmontonian’s were coming out of a period of isolation and uncertainty and were ready to celebrate. Pride Month became the perfect way for many of us to see a return to the fun, spirit and community we had left behind. And we did so in a way that had never been done before. Over 40 events were produced by 19 organizers in 21 different venues across our city.
2023 is going to be bigger and better than our City has ever seen. Educational Institutions like the University of Alberta, MacEwan University and the Northern Alberta Institute of Alberta celebrate their Pride in March.
Summer of Pride will kick off Edmonton’s annual Festival Season with Pride Month in June, then a bigger and better Pride Day at K-Days plus other events in July and let’s wrap the Festival Season in true Festival style with the Edmonton Pride Festival.
But let’s not stop celebrating Pride just during one time of the year – let’s celebrate it all year.
