Rainbow Market

MacEwan Robbins Health Learning Centre 10910 104 Ave NW, Edmonton

Baubles, beads, dice, stickers, art...and so much more! There is something for everyone at our three-day pop-up Rainbow Market! Over 15 local makers and businesses are featured throughout the week in Robbins Health Learning Centre with something new daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Monday will also feature community and campus organizations at a community resource fair. Learn more about organizations and programs supporting the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

This event is part of Pride Week 2025, where MacEwan University recognizes and celebrates the diversity of our 2SLGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff, and allies.

Personal Agenda: Art Exhibition

MacEwan John L. Haar Library 10700 - 104 Avenue NW, Edmonton

Personal Agenda invites 2SLGBTQ+ artists from MacEwan University to consider MacEwan Pride Week’s theme of the ‘the queer agenda’ and how it relates to their own experiences.

The exhibition will be on display until the end of EDI Week (March 17 – 21, 2025).

All are welcome.

Queer Research Connections

Why is research an important part of 2SLGBTQ+ communities? Come to the third annual Queer Research Connections event to learn how you can pursue the answers to big questions! Student research will be highlighted, and participants will learn how to engage in research of their own. Light refreshments will be provided, and attendees will have a chance to build connections with faculty who drive research at MacEwan.

Open to all students, staff, faculty, and community members interested in up-and-coming queer research. ASL interpretation will be provided.

Queer Poetry: an afternoon with Nisha Patel

Norquest College 10215 108 Street NW, Edmonton

Nisha Patel is a renowned disabled queer poet and spoken word artist. She was the City of Edmonton’s 8th Poet Laureate, a Canadian Individual Poetry Slam Champion and has several awards to her name.

She has spoken extensively on the intersections between queerness and disability and explores these topics in her creative work. Nisha will join us for an afternoon of poetry at NorQuest College, where we will hear from some of her selected works and have the opportunity to engage in conversation about the art of creative self-expression.

This event is open to members of Edmonton's post-secondary institutions (students and staff) and their guests.

Queeraoke at Towers

Shed the shame, fight the fright, and unleash your undoubtedly beautiful, or at least entertaining, voice for all to hear!

Come down to Towers Pub for a night of queer-themed karaoke with a twist of the theatrical. There’ll be group sing-alongs and prizes to be won in our competition rounds. Come one and all to entertain your peers and, more importantly, your hostess! She’s got the prizes, after all.
