Workshop

Over this 1.5 hour course you’ll learn the basics of drag king makeup, from the iconic king, Orpheus! Orpheus has been performing since 2019, and is Edmonton's Greek king. In this workshop, he will provide overviews of specialized products, in-depth tutorials, and share all the tricks of the trade to help demystify the artform. After taking the course you’ll feel equipped and empowered to start making creative looks of your own!

Orpheus will show all the products you need to paint a drag face and explain how to best apply them. He will guide participants through a step-by-step tutorial on emulating his particular makeup style. 

This class is BYOM (Bring your own make-up).  We will supply you with a list of products in advance of the class and they can be purchased at the store of your choice. If you already have similar supplies you are welcome to bring them as well.

BIG WIG: AN INTRODUCTION TO BIG WIG STYLING

Get ready to tease to high heavens with Sucreesha (Liz Frost) and the Bang Bang Team in this hands on introduction to wig styling. Whether you’re brand new or looking to further your skills, BIG WIG will take you through the basics of classic huge drag hair - with a twist.

In this workshop, you’ll learn:

Teasing techniques for major volume

Wig foundations and styling structure

Detailing tricks to elevate your look

Signature shapes for that iconic drag silhouette

All participants will be provided with a wig to style and take home. Just bring your personality and passion ~ as well as a teasing comb, brush and clips (extras will be available on hand if needed). Come learn, laugh and style like a queen.

Explore the fundamentals of Drag Queen makeup in this 2 hour interactive class! Going through the art of applying makeup to help bring out that inner diva. In the two hours we cover the basics of drag makeup, focusing on these five elements.
